Yes that is correct, if you already have an iPhone and are considering purchasing the new iPhone 3g, AT&T is not charging a deactivation fee. Basically if you want a new iPhone you only have to pay Apple for the phone and AT&T does the rest. I strongly suggest using ebay to sell your old iPhone unless you want to give it to a family member or friend. If you do not have Ebay it is extremely easy to configure. Just create an account and in less than 5 minutes you can have an auction started on the web. There is some speculation that the new service plan will cost a little more than the previous plan to compensate for the price drop for the actual phone itself. So is it worth it? The true answer is, if you feel that you will use the iPhone then definitely get it. It fits my needs! To get more information and specs on the iPhone, then go to Apple.com to find out more about their amazing product.
